  • 5 out of 5 stars, great gin!! A must.

Wanted to try a gin that was a bit different and this was recommended to me by a friend who is a spirits connoisseur. It’s so refreshing, smooth and has a lovely hint of cherry. Small batch gin, home grown can’t go wrong. Will make a brilliant gift.

  • 5 out of 5 stars. Excellent gin.

Have had this gin a few times now and it does not disappoint. The hint of cherry provides a perfect balance of sweetness (but not too sweet) and what a dry gin should taste like. Love the label too. Happy to see this is now available for next day delivery on Amazon!

  • 5 out of 5 stars. Cherry flavoured delicious drink

Cherry flavours work perfectly with this botanical spirit. This made a perfect gin and tonic and also was great for fruity cocktails. Would love to buy this product again.

Where it all began...

Playwright Gin is a father-and-son brand on a mission to shake up the gin scene with a bold, history-infused twist.

Inspired by London’s rich past, Playwright Gin blends the classic London Dry style with a subtle, cherry-infused sweetness, thanks to a 24-hour cerasus maceration.

This unique process harks back to the 16th century, when King Henry VIII first brought cerasus cherries to England. Discover a gin that’s as classic as it is inventive!

Classic Gin & Tonic

How to prepare: Served over ice, 50ml of Playwright gin, added with a squeezed lime into glass and placed on top of the drink after the tonic has been added. Other recommended garnishes include orange & a cinnamon stick, or thyme & lemon.

FAQ

Who owns Playwright Gin?

Playwright Gin is owned by a father-son partnership who have always been based in the heart of London's theatre community, Soho.

How is Playwright Gin made?

Playwright Gin is made in the style of a traditional London Dry Gin, using only local and natural botanicals while maintaining no added sugar to the gin, however the difference is it is macerated in cherries for 24 hours before distillation.

Is Playwright Gin sweet?

Playwright Gin is sweeter than a typical London Dry Gin due to the maceration of cherries, however it is not as sweet as other flavoured gins, almost being a 'middle ground' between a London Dry and a flavoured gin.
